Biogasmax Training day - Klemetsrud Biogas plant - Oslo - 3 september 2008
A training event will be held for participants from town and city administrations in Scandinavia on the production of biomethane from waste, and its potential use as a low carbon transport fuel.
If you wish to attend, you will:
• Hear from the experience of other city administrations and business regions, and gain from
the lessons they have learned on the way.
• Discuss with colleagues and neighbours from your region about the organisations and
partnerships needed to produce and use this low-carbon fuel.
• Build your own scenario for biomethane production and use, with support from trainers and
practitioners attending the event.
The event will be hosted by the Waste-to-Energy Agency (EGE) in Oslo at their biomethanisation
plant. The plant will use household waste to produce fuel by 2010. The training will be provided by
the EC-supported BIOGASMAX project (www.biogasmax.eu).
The training will be of interest to those with the responsibility for policy making and decisions in
areas of:
• waste management;
• environmental and sustainability issues;
• energy use;
• traffic and transport planning/policy/strategy;
• municipal/commercial vehicle fleets.
Priority will firstly be given to participant from city authorities and public bodies. Places are limited
to 25 persons.
Please mark this date in your diary, and contact us if you wish to know more.
